Gene and I  have four children. Patrick is studying mechanical engineering at SUNY Maritime in the Bronx.   Hilary, who graduated from Cornell, is a Labor Relations Specialist in NYC. Elizabeth lives in West Palm Beach and is working in the financial field.  She  graduated from Siena College.   Ryan  is a field engineer for Whiting and Turner in Towson, Maryland.  He graduated from ESF at Syracuse University.

This picture was taken in May 2006 at my retirement party.  I was a Spanish teacher at Mohawk Central School for many years.  My husband  taught science and then ran a lumber store until we became the owners of the Lake House in 1997.  Our children have enjoyed living at the Lake House and now enjoy vacationing here.

We do love living on the lake and meeting people from all over the world as they discover Leatherstocking Country, Cooperstown, upstate New York  and the many surrounding areas of beauty, historical significance and local interest.

We have a few  hobbies. Our favorite is running our dog sleds on the frozen lake. When the lake isn't frozen, we canoe.   We also really enjoy listening to DooWop music and going to as many concerts as we can.  Among our favorite groups is Kenny Vance and the Planotones.

We anxiously wait for the snow to be able to take the sleds out in the winter.   In 2002 we adopted a retiring team that had given tours in Yellowstone National Park. My husband drove to Montana to bring back the team.  Since then we have enjoyed many wintry rides with our dogs.  You can meet our team while you are here. They love company.

Racing at Winona State Park as part of the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club, we did a great job.  It is so much FUN!

Catching up to Gene as we go across the  lake headed for home, we follow the snowmobile tracks.

We also love taking out the canoe in the early morning while the water is so still.  You can use the canoe to capture your own photos of the lake.  It is so peaceful and beautiful not only with the fall foliage.

Getting the docks ready in the spring, Gene stirs the stain while Lightning and Bella pose for the camera.
